
CURATOR & DESIGNER
About
Smadar Samson is a curator and designer whose work explores the intersections of art, social justice, and design. She holds a Master of Advanced Studies in Curating from the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) and a BSc in Industrial Design. She has curated exhibitions at museums and cultural institutions including the Mingei International Museum in San Diego, CECUT in Mexico, Mesa Art Gallery, and the Oceanside Museum of Art, and others.
Her interdisciplinary practice draws on inclusive design and psychology. She holds a Certificate in Therapeutic Uses of Art from UC San Diego, extending her practice into therapeutic settings, public art, and social design. Prior to relocating to California, she founded Creatif, an inclusive design consultancy working with museums, cultural institutions, hospitals, and educational organizations throughout England and Wales. She was also a Senior Lecturer in Design and led the MA Design for Disability program at London Metropolitan University.
